Year 4 Pottery Workshop
March 7 @ 12:30 pm - 2:45 pm
These one-off, two-hour workshops with Yr4 pupils are designed to introduce them to clay, relating it to everyday objects they will have seen and used. The intention is that the students will have a chance to play with the clay, try their hand at the different techniques and create at least one piece to take away with them. We will be aiming for a balance between teaching hand-building techniques and allowing children the chance to explore their own creative ideas. They will be able to take home their pieces.
As the Sculpture garden is open to the public this year in May, we have decided to select a ‘Winner’ from each school and display their piece at the garden, after having it fired. It will be returned to them after the event. Their prize will be a family ticket (2 adults & children) to visit the garden.
